2008 Annual Town & Country Credit Union Report

Town and Country Credit Union has been a member owned financial institution since 1939. Father Duren, of the St. Boniface Church, Westphalia, Iowa, started the Credit Union in 1939. The original name of the credit union was Westphalia Community Credit Union, later the name was changed to Town and Country Credit Union. In 1983, we opened a branch in Harlan, which became the main office and the Westphalia office became the branch. The Westphalia office remained open until 2000. We are located in Harlan, just off the main downtown square.

Membership Eligibility
If you live or work in Shelby, Pottawattamie, Carroll, Cass, Crawford, Harrison, Audubon or you have a family member that already belongs to Town and Country Credit Union, you are eligible for membership.

Joining the Credit Union
It is easy to become a member of the credit union. The requirements are:

	$1.00 lifetime membership
	$5.00 share, which is a basic savings account that earns dividends once $25 is reached.

Safety and Security
All Town and Country Credit Union accounts are federally insured up to $100,000 per account by the National Credit Union Administration (NCUA), an agency of the federal government.
